You can apply for an additional black bin if you have:
- 6+ people living in your household (full time)
- 5+ people living in your household (including 1 child under 3 years of age)
- 4+ people living in your household (including 2 children under 3 years of age)
- Your household generates more waste as a result of a medical condition that is not toxic/hazardous, such as additional medical packaging. If you produce toxic/hazardous clinical waste (such as syringes, sharps, dressings or bodily fluids) these cannot be disposed of in your black bin - please find out about what to do with clinical waste
Once we receive your application, our team will be in touch to determine whether you are eligible. You may be asked to provide evidence as part of this.
